Where I am now I am 21 years old, which I know is young, but I've been through a lot, and feel much older. I have been married for over two and a half years now, and it's been a struggle the whole way. My husband has been very patient so far, he understands my past, and knows that I have no idea what a good marriage looks like. It's still been very rough going though. We also have a beautiful son who is twenty-one months old. Where I've come from My parents were married when they were 19, and I came about nine months later. When I was five years old, my parents divorced shortly after my little sister was born. Since then, I've seen my dad about once a year or less, and have gotten the occasional phone call or card on holidays and birthdays. My dad married someone else when I was eight, and then that woman divorced him about two years ago. He is now married to the girlfriend he originally left my mom for. |
